The first week of January should mean writing and editing abstracts for LPSC – but this year, these abstracts are subject to potential censorship and rejection (and with a non-refundable submission fee at that).

The Planetary Workforce Integration, Development, and Empowerment Community Alliance (PWIDE) has penned an open letter regarding that censorship – along with links to additional conferences where we can freely share our science and exchange ideas.

So as you are considering your abstracts (or the blank pages they were intended to be written on), please take a minute to read our letter on the Signatories page at https://signatories.planetary-research.org/dont-censor-LPSC-letter. It is also open for signatures if you would like to express your support (you can opt not to include an affiliation or be entirely anonymous).

Folks interested in PWIDE can find more information at the website, including a link to our mailing list (where we post our monthly meeting information).
